Campus

We loved having our friends from Campus church visit this week. Many members of the group were seasoned veterans, having been on the trip numerous times. They did a great job interacting with the kids, and most of them were able to speak quite a bit of Spanish! Both the kids and visitors were so happy to reconnect with their old friends and make new ones!

The group started things off big by hosting a World Cup soccer match! It was Mexicanos versus Americanos, and everyone had a great time. We enjoyed music, face painting, decorations, and even a bilingual announcer! The Americanos held their own and were up 1-0 at halftime, but the Mexicanos pulled off a great comeback win 2-1 in the second half. The group also hosted a fun-filled volleyball tournament throughout the week!

In VBS, the group really challenged the kids to think about difficult topics such as purpose and vulnerability. On Wednesday, the group hosted a forum for the teenagers, allowing the teens to ask difficult questions anonymously. Leaders helped the teen boys and girls explore these questions in separate groups to allow for more freedom in the discussion. The teens were very engaged and responsive.

On Thursday night, we had two baptisms! A member of the visiting group was baptized by his friend, and one of our older medianos was baptized as well! We praise God for this display of faith and discipleship!

We want to thank the group from Campus for giving us their time and efforts this week. They have been such a blessing!

Special thanks to Sydney Hicks for running our social media this week!
